Intensive Therapy

Bounce is a fun class which is focused on improving ball skills. It encompasses motor planning skills, coordination, and accuracy. With aspects of throwing, catching, hitting, and kicking this is great for those kiddos who need a little extra help. It allows social interaction with children of similar ages and promotes teamwork, verbal communication and problem solving.

School Holiday Programs

Throughout the school holidays we run a number of different classes and activities to help keep
the little ones engaged all while working on important skills. Please register for our Newsletter to receive updates on school holiday events.

Hydrotherapy

Hydrotherapy is the completion of exercises whilst in a heated pool to treat a wide range of health or musculoskeletal conditions. It can be incredibly effective in allowing children who may be in pain or have trouble exercising out of the water to complete an appropriate exercise program. The warmth and support of the water can provide relief for these conditions and allow exercise to be completed in a pain-free or reduced pain manner.

At Coordinated Kidz we use the Mt Gravatt East Pool to complete hydrotherapy. This indoor pool features a ramp for easy access, as well as water wheelchair use and change rooms with showers.

Hydrotherapy is great for:

  • Babies with low and high tone
  • Children with developmental delays
  • Children needing 1:1 support in learning to swim
  • Children with strength and mobility deficits
  • Management of pain, injuries or return to sport
  • Post operative recovery and rehabilitation
  • Joint Hypermobility and Ehlers Danlos Syndromes
  • Chronic Fatigue
  • Balance issues

Gait Analysis & Training

Our Exercise Physiologists are trained to identify any gait abnormalities and determine muscle imbalances, provide corrective exercises, and provide information as to which muscles to stretch and which muscles to strengthen.

Your Exercise Physiologists can develop treatment strategies specific to your child to improve their function. This can include home exercise programs and specific strength and stability exercises.

Active Teens

Our Active Teens services takes place within our Coordinated Fitness Gym. The gym is located at 2/601 Logan Road, just up the road from Coordinated Kidz.

Here this is great emphasis on using weights and machines – a more typically style of exercise as opposed to play based therapy.

Group Classes

All classes at Coordinated Kidz run on a term of 10 weeks except for our Movement Milestone Mastery Program.

Dance Kidz

This is a fun group where kiddos choreograph, practice and perform their own dance routine for 10 weeks. It is important to note that this is not a technical class. It has been designed to encourage creativity, balance, problem solving, proprioceptive skills, coordination, social skills and most of all have FUN. The class is supervised by our Paediatric Exercise Physiologists but the children take the lead in this class.
